Privacy notice
This notice explains what happens to the details you give us when you join the Housemate waitlist or visit this website. We've kept it short and plain.
Who we are
Housemate is a product of MJH Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number [COMPANY NUMBER]), registered office [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS]. We are the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect

We don't store your IP address with your sign-up, and we don't ask for anything else.
Our lawful basis
We rely on your consent to email you about Housemate. You give it by submitting the waitlist form, and you can withdraw it at any time.
To stop automated spam sign-ups, we use a security check (described below). We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the waitlist accurate and the site secure.
What we'll send you
Only emails about Housemate: launch news, early access and pricing. We won't sell your details, share them with marketers, or send you anything unrelated. Every email will include a way to unsubscribe, or you can just reply and ask.
Who processes your data for us
- Cloudflare hosts this website and stores the waitlist in its database service. It also provides the security check that stops spam sign-ups (Cloudflare Turnstile), which looks at technical signals from your browser to tell people from bots, and our visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics), which don't use cookies.
- When we start emailing the waitlist, we may use an email-sending service. If we do, we'll update this notice to name it.
Cloudflare operates globally, so your information may be processed outside the UK. Where that happens, it's protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
Cookies
This site doesn't set advertising or tracking cookies, and our visitor statistics are cookie-less. The spam check may store small technical data needed for it to work. Our fonts are hosted on our own site, so no font provider sees your visit.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or for 12 months after Housemate launches if you don't become a customer, whichever comes first. Then we delete them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- show you the information we hold about you
- correct it if it's wrong
- delete it
- stop emailing you
- limit or object to how we use it
- give you a copy in a portable format

Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your details, we'll tell you by email before it takes effect.
